City information

Atlanta, a bustling metropolitan city in north Georgia, is an exciting international city filled with unique restaurants, trendy boutiques and a myriad of other attractions bringing visitors and residents together daily. Atlanta is the capital city of Georgia. There is never a shortage of things to do in Atlanta. In fact, the area is a very popular convention and tourist location, hosting meetings of all types year-round. Beyond that, Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport has been the world's busiest international airport since 1998. Phillips Arena, the Georgia World Congress Center, The World of Coca-Cola and The Georgia International Convention Center all host a wide variety of events, from concerts to car shows to corporate gatherings and faith-based convocations. Individuals living outside the state as well as those living in Georgia find themselves gravitating toward such attractions as the Georgia Aquarium (the world's largest indoor aquarium) and the Atlanta Botanical Garden. The famous Fox Theatre hosts many large, Broadway-type theatrical performances. Sports enthusiasts enjoy taking in a Braves baseball game or watching the Falcons continue to press toward the Super Bowl. The city is also home to the Atlanta Hawks (men's) and the Atlanta Dream (women's) basketball teams. Though proudly based in the south, the city's cultural fabric includes so many that Atlanta is now among the most culturally diverse areas in the nation; thus, the area does not have a strictly southern feel.
